The same way it’s important to be physically fit, it is also important to keep your mind fit/sharp. The games I have listed would help you develop your cognitive skills by testing the processing speed of your brain and your problem solving skills.
Cognitive skills are the core skills your brain uses to think, read, learn, remember, reason, and pay attention. .
They sharpen you and help to still maintain focus, attention and concentration when there’s a time restraint as regards the task you have to do. And errrr yeah employers are definitely on the look out for these qualities, so whiles you’re having a snack or lunch during break time or after work , just sneak in 5 minutes to keep your brain sharp.
In no particular order , these are the applications I use.
Sudoku is a number-placement puzzle. The objective is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 subgrids that compose the box contains all of the digits from 1 to 9.
Sudoku helps you to increase your concentration power, and also improve your memory . This is one of my fave games . If you want me to do a separate post on how to play Sudoku, just leave me a comment 🙂
One of the cool things about Lumosity is that the level of difficulty of each game is controlled by your capacity , so it either scales back if you have a hard time with the current session or it gives you a challenge if you’re getting high points at the current level .
This is also a really really cool app. You get to test your listening , writing and reading skills using different fun and interesting games . You also play games and improve your public speaking skills , speed reading , basic maths and vocabulary building..
